3 places to see how the waves break in the Basque Country
This week follows the yellow warning for strong waves in the Basque Country, creating waves of 3 meters and reaching 4 - 5 meters in points such as galea point, at the end of the week I will be sending up to 2-3 meters. It is a good time to look for strategic points where to see these works of a nature break.
Our favourite corners to see the waves break
1.- Espigón de Lekeitio - Lekeito is a coastal town belonging to Vizcaya, it is located about 1 hour from Bilbao and has Karraspio Beach, where you can surf practically all year.
2.- Comb of the winds - The comb of the winds is the point par excellence to go see the waves break in San Sebastián. Chillida's work makes a show to see the waves break. If it is true that it is the point that most tourism usually attracts and in case of strong waves, they usually close the walk.
3.- Bakio and Bermeno - These Biscayan villages are located very close to each other (22 minutes by car along the coast) and have spectacular waves in case of strong waves.
