Guethary

Guethary, halfway between Biarritz and Saint Jean de Luz, is a coastal town that changed whaling for surfing and respect for the environment.

If we are looking for good waves, the best time of the year is autumn-winter, where we can find waves of up to 5 meters.

In Guethary we can find the mythical wave “Parlementia”, considered one of the first 5 great waves in France. It is a popular wave among longboarders and SUP (Stand Up Paddle).

The size of the wave, added to the rocky ground, implies a high degree of commitment.

Services: Being a coastal town we can find all kinds of services, with the advantage of not being as crowded as Biarritz or Hendaye.
